What's the Difference Between CA3 and CA3?
Jim Boulden: This is what's called the CA3 region. It's a specific processing stage in the hippocampus. A number of years ago, our lab had shown that this region along here was actually different from this part of CA3 in terms of its functions. The idea is that if you want to remember, if you have an experience, and then you experience something very similar, that you don't want to get confused between those two memories.
