Is It a Good Week for American Cheese Makers?
One of the directors of the american milk producers federation also spoke to the new york times and was absolutely ecstatic. He seis these protection of origin statuses just as a set of rules that benefit european producers at the expense of producers anywhere else. There might be lot of dutch and german cheesemakers who are pleased with this ruling, because apparently, over the past ten years, the us has imported more cheese called grier from the netherlands and germany than they have from france and switzerland. And i said that it's a good week for American cheese makers. But the benefits of this ruling will also be in europe.
