Transcendent Art
Peter Brook: I'm not really sure how to couch that exactly because one version of transcendent art would be like breaking the norms in a significant way, such that it changes the norms themselves. You could do Shakespeare that's been done a billion times, and you could do it transcendently for some other reason. It seems like there's probably multiple causal avenues towards that country. And maybe you can't even define it because then part of transcendence is that it transcends your categories for it, right? It's like sublime in an important way.
