The Importance of Observability in SLOs
At Aqwya, we didn't have the level of maturity yet to do distributed tracing. We weren't in the place where distributed tracing made sense. Certain organizational structures don't lend themselves well for internal SLOs. If you have people playing tug of war over how much latency each team can have and the total latency that the service is taking up then that sounds confrontational, not collaborative.
