The Differences Between Old and New BPD in the NICU
There's a lot of terminology that I feel like always falls into the one liner of the NICU, you know, BPD, chronic lung disease, surfactant deficiency. Are these all describing kind of the same process, whereas BPD, a preferred terminology? Yeah. So you can think of BPD as like an later outcome of infants with RDS, with surfactant deficient. You know, technically, we don't make the diagnosis until they're about 36 weeks postmenstrual age of officially a BPD.
