How a Hyper-Advanced Civilization Would Deal With the Problem of the Cosmic Horizon

As the universe expands, the cosmic horizon shrinks. If you're a hyper-advanced civilization who wants to build dyson spheres around as many stars as you can, that means some of your potentially usable energy is disappearing in time. We would dig into the Earth's crust with much, much more vigor, I think, and grab it before it was gone.
