Is There a Consistent Mistake When You're Querying an Agent?
Most of the time it's just by looking for an agent who you think would be a fit for your work. Most agents are reviewing submissions from people who are writing novels, writing picture books and also folks who are illustrating their own work. The other thing is open eyes. I think that there are a lot of sample illustrator pages where all the characters have closed eyes or they're turned around. And why is there an absence of eyeballs? I don't know.
