The Turkish Elections

There has to be a referendum, at least in Northern Ireland. There would really have to be referenda both sides of the border. I don't think there would be any great hurry to do that, really. The Turkish elections were a big story until they happened. And then possibly because they're in two stages, at least this time, there's not much about them. But it shows why we've often said that Turkey is one of the few polities that it's really tempting to compare with the U.S.
