Exercise was consistently ranked right at the top in terms of being the most important habit for promoting faster and better quality of sleep. In a study of over a thousand old adults they found that those who didn't exercise were almost 110% more likely to suffer from insomnia relative to those who did exercise. For parents out there frequent exercise may be a useful implement in a parenting fix it toolbox when it comes to ensuring sleep both of your wee ones as well as you are not so wee ones, says Matt Walker.
