The Importance of Language in the Development of Children
A lot is known about the way in which young babies interact with the physical world. We know that there's a huge developmental process that they don't do very much when they're first born. And then as their eyes develop, they are capable of more and more. They're a fascinating studies with twins where you realize that they're developing their own complex communication with one another long before it will be shared with the adult human world. How do you go ahead when this is so fascinating? It makes me think about memory and what are first memories for us young kids before we have the ability of language.
