Sophi is a very legitimate lender, and they tend to offer student loan re finances. As long as you do a fixed rate re finance with them, and it's better than the rate you have, so fi is just fine. The problem is, if you go to any kind of floating rate loan, you never know, overtime, what interest rate you 're actually going to be paying. But sophi is the real deal.
