Is There Any Obstacles to Getting Into the Foreign Service?

I just thought that there was this whole other world out there. It was bigger than me and bigger than everything else that I knew. And I just kind of in some way wanted to be a part of it. So you had gone to Florida State University and you passed the Foreign Service test. Did you encounter any obstacles relating to having gone to a school that is not usually a feeder school into the Foreign Service or for not being for having a last name that does not sound like a waspied like your name Bennett? You could say that actually, it did.
