Introduction
Europe is pressing ahead to decarbonise its industry. The steel industry, being accountable for 7% of CO2 emissions globally, 5% in the EU, is racing to cut emissions. Existing producers have invested in replacement of equipment. Some new producers appearing in the European market with projects which are scheduled to come in operation in the next several years.
