AI in DBT Imaging - A Review

The use of AI support tools as compared with independent radiologists' evaluation may also have the potential to decrease reader interpretation types, while demonstrating equivalent to superior performance metrics. Use of AI has been shown to improve radiologists' cancer detection rates, reduce recall rates, and reduce reading times for DBT. In one study, a prototype linking DBT and automated breast ultrasonography was developed and applied prospectively to 101 diagnostic examinations.
