Glaukine's Saving Myth
Socrates has this interesting dialogue with Glaukine. But I've always sort of suspected that maybe it's for one of the other guys listening in my, you know, Polymerchus would be the chief example. This is a person who is highly erotic. And he's noble and he's a good warrior. So there's a lot of potential there. It just reminds me of the way that your book concludes. The Republic concludes that the thought that GlauKine might yet be rescued by Plato's saving myth,. even if he fails to heed Socrates' words in this life.
