What's Going to Happen to Fertility Rates in Africa?
The UN have said that sometime in the 2080s, the population of the Earth is actually going to start declining. I think it will probably take until the end of this century - a lot depends on what happens to fertility rates in sub-Saharan Africa. There are parts of Africa which still have relatively high infant mortality rates so we have to take that into account. And there are also social and cultural differences in how children are valued and the meaning of children.
