An American general has expressed concern that the Russians are extending their influence there, as well as trying to control the natural resources. Yevgeny Prigosian is a man many say links Wagner's activity to the very top of Russia's leadership. He'd done time in prison for his involvement in organized crime before he turned his hand to selling hotdogs. Many say he's the middle man between Wagner and the Russian leadership; gets a lucrative cut for providing mercenaries.
