The Importance of Drains and Sewers
The whole space not occupied by water and soil is filled with gas which extracts poisons from sewage. In many cases the construction of new drains and sewers in a district have been simply a waste of money as regards improving residents' health. When storm water from houses or land enters drains great care should be taken to form openings or inlets near where drains are likely to fill. The poison when distributed into the open air through gratings in the new sewers or into houses is when inhaled into the system the cause of these psymotic outbreaks.
