The Importance of Humanism in Education
Humanism is an outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. Humanists believe stress the potential value and goodness of human beings. They emphasize common human needs and they seek solely rational ways of solving human problems. Man's considered inherently good, so there's no real such thing as sin. He's considered inherently able to solve his own problems just if he thinks hard enough about it. And man's then capable of creating his own utopia.
