CHAPTER

The Third Noble Truth: How to Escape Suffering

Buddhists are rejecting the idea that there is some unseen, unchanging center of identity. The Buddhist way is instead to come to the realization that there is no self to annihilate. You can avoid being attached to things that falsely seem to benefit you now and in the future if you give up on the idea that you have a self which can be benefited. It is through embracing and acting in accordance with this theory of no self that we reach nirvana - liberation from suffering.
