Is Space Settlement Only Possible Through Capitalism?
The outer space treaty doesn't specifically cover private companies or individuals because it was signed in 1967. It does say that anyone launching into space needs to have a continuing supervision by the launching state wherever you launched your ground from. The pace of the growing space industry is going so much faster than regulation can keep up with it, which is frightening. But people are working hard to try to anticipate these problems.
