The Dual of Shiraz

Dawani seems to have been more comfortable with the integration of Sunni theology with Avasenna that had been dominant in Shiraz. The younger Dashtaki, Riyath-Adeen, devoted most of his writings to attacking Dawani and his allies. Whatever religious disagreements may have been underlying the feud, it's abundantly clear that Dawani and the Dashtaki's had profound disagreements in philosophy.
