The Status Deficit of Violence

I was quite taken in the book. You talk about Roger Elliott, a mass shooter who's a low status male and thinks he ought to be at the top. Would you attribute a lot of the crazy stuff going on in our society right now to status mismatch? Absolutely. And so much of violence is literally about status. It's about turning a sense of shame, alienation and humiliation into pride.
