Geddy Mersen: Skeptics say we can never feel confident in blaming people for bad actions. Peter Strossen thought that our practices of praising and blaming were the glue that make us a recognizable society. We love to blame, he says; Americans especially seem to love to blame. If those reactions are unjustified, we can try to lower the temperature a bit, to blame less.
