Child Care Costs - Is There a Cost?
The pool of people paying for child care is smaller than you might think, because so many parents are using alternatives. The government does subsidize costs for those on the lowest incomes and all children are for between 15 and 33 hours a week at age three and four. But evidence suggests that most parents don't use more than the free hours that their kids are eligible for. If both parents or single parents are working, theyre more likely to have to put their child in child care to work and have the money to pay for it.
