Starmour was among those who resigned and backed Owen Smith's leadership challenge. Jenny Chapman joined Starmour's Brexit team as a shadow minister, where she became a key political ally. They had a bond because they were both Arsenal supporters. There were moments of real tension, where I think the best way in the world, Jeremy didn't have a great grasp on some of the issues. But it was functional more than having a huge amount of warmth - there was no hostility there either.
