The Dream of a Musician
"Lydia Tar" is the story of a young composer who loses her way in New York. The final scene suggests that she's really not just in for fame, because she's in this situation with respect. "I can't help but think that the scenes we see of her life as Lydia tar are just the way that I think you would write," says director Paul Verhoeven.
