I always look directly at the person because they're effectively doing a gig. So that's the other thing you feel obliged to give the karaoke our teeth their full attention. I've looked into the perceived benefits and they all seem dubious at best. My punishment for these footwear contrarians would be an obligation to don shoes in situations where others remove them. E.G. as they do a jump in a pool when tucking themselves into bed at night or even during the frenzied build up of a potential romantic encounter. Shoes in bed is such a weird area, very funny. Tearing the clothes off each other. You sort of cycling the trousers down in that fevered moment
