The web is a mess right now. You visit a website you've never been to and you're just assaulted with cookie pop-ups. A lot of people think, oh, this company sells my data because they have a cookie banner. But really what's happening here is there's several privacy laws that require you to capture consent prior to putting nonessential cookies on a user's browser.
