Malaria is one of the worst infectious diseases out there, and a vaccine is going to be a huge part of any strategy to control it. It's taken science a long time to narrow down what part of the parasyte life cycle we can most effectively target. The world health organization recommended wednesday that nations make this part of their normal childhood immunization programme. And they've pretty solid uptake in the countries where they're really able to get people to get these shots.
But also, should we kill all the mosquitoes?
