Original Guilt - I Don't Have Any Problem With It
i don't have any problem with original sin, or especially the more orthodox version they'll sometimes call ancestral sin. It's capacity based view, right? It's like, at once i develop the capacities, i will sin. I think that that is eminently reasonable and psychologically quite sophisticated. You know, we can see into the future. We can have a worry about scarcity. We can therefore privilege our own security. But the original guilt part, i think that's the part i find so frankly, kind of bonker's no offence to 20 year ago. Oliver says he sees how people can reason their way back to it - but not meaning for it to be monstrous.
