I think when we talk about art we get kind of stuck in the painting is what we're talking about here. But graphic artists illustrators there's there are different there's different mediums there's different intense for it now. So what I'm talking about I need this on a t-shirt it's the the the evade dog. It's it's the little dog who basically jumped turn style. I can't remember which South American country it was but this is a few years ago. She likes it. Yes thank you protest over. You know people who need mass transit for being priced out of it. We had a dog now who jumps turn styles and now they does all over the all over the signage and I'm in love with the dog. But it's it's one of those things right now you know you put it it's art but you put it on a button and this is this is what it tells people about what you are what you represent. So I think a lot of perhaps simpler art forms or whatever they're going toward the geared toward less advertising but messaging and individual identities as opposed to you know supporting the coffers of the the wealthy would be influential.
Speaker 1
Yeah and I like bringing up that there are other forms of art besides painting so I feel like that there's a lot of art forms that are not necessarily always recognized as art forms like you have you got like fashion you've got like I remember one really interesting take on art was like this the last dragon chronicles and it's basically like a series of books that are about little dragons that are made out of clay. And it's about like I think it's like this boys relationship with these like little dragons that he makes and it's just like a really interesting way of like combining art and literally breathing it to life with fire and a kill you know like it's just like you know there's there's also you've got like quilting was like a really big theme in bitter blue by Kristin Kishore where like there was a quilt that her mother made the main characters mother made that was like essential to her decoding her life and her relationship with her father and her relationship with her kingdom. There's like so many different forms of art that like I feel like are so much fun to explore. Like paintings are cool and all that and like you know the classic the classic ballad that that is in like the high fantasy world. But there's also like so much more different kinds of art forms out there that are about you know either expressing the character expressing the world or you know any other of those things. I feel like dance I don't really see very often but I think would be like a really cool right like like such a like a like I'd love to see that kind of being explored more in an infection as
Speaker 2
well. Yeah, and there's so much in our pop culture that is related to
Speaker 3
you know a quick glance at TikTok.
Speaker 2
I don't even think of that. I was gonna say like Broadway is so sweet in dance and like you have the recettes there. Which like you know isn't everyone's culture but it is like it's a very prevalent part of our culture that is more and more becoming seen on TV and film.
Speaker 1
I feel like Netflix also had like a had a phase where it was doing like art stuff or not art stuff dance stuff. Like what was it the OA? They had like a thing where they were like having interpretive dance in like their TV shows like the OA I don't know if you guys remember that one it was like a. Like a story about a girl who is like she like went missing and when she came back she was like part of some interdimensional.
Speaker 3
Classic thing or something
Speaker 1
like I can't remember the storyline exactly but like a big part of like I think. You actually like using her.
Speaker 1
skills was like the dance movements that you did that she did. In order to like I think transport I really can't remember that well I just remember it being like a very central theme to actually using it. Which is kind of
Speaker 5
interesting. Thanks
Speaker 2
for running. And I guess on a similar note you know talking about art being connected to magic. Bards. Yeah.
Speaker 1
me if I'm wrong but isn't isn't the word is in the word
Speaker 4
bar. Yeah it's a Gaelic origins. So really.
