The God of Israel Is the God of Other Nations
God of Israel is the God of other nations now that really is a radical thing to say in those days when every nation had its own God. The prophets didn't just speak to Israel they spoke to everybody our God is going to judge you too and that's the radical message of Obadiah everything's under his control. He will judge the nations of the world for how they treated his people and that's written on history it's written large and the first nation to be so judged was this nation of edam for what they did to Israel. That principle comes out in prophet after prophet when they speak to other nations but most of their prophecies are to nations that had contact with Israel
