Malachi 4: Son of Righteousness, S-U-N
This is a chapter about a final day and we're back to that tree imagery. In verse 2 of Malachi 4, the word Shamash was a God of the Son in the ancient Near East. When it says she will come forth with healing in her wings, another way to read that is that she will embrace you. Now why do we spend some time talking about this? It's good for us to note that there's some ambiguity in some of these texts.
