The Importance of Simulation in the Design Process

In the design, you're actually, you're accounting for the warping. So if you know a wall is going to shift maybe 200 microns in a certain direction, you just build it a little bit the opposite direction. How do you simulate parts that are a half meter in size? It's a little bit different than simulating a part that's a few inches in size. We have a new class of parts coming out for the catalyst engine, and these are large format parts. And they have to go in large format machines, which are half a meter in size. The process is larger, over larger volume.
