Detroiters love west coast hippop, but there's this island of east coast centric hippop fans in detroit who have their own little singular culture. Radio with hippop is interesting because for a long time, it was just not welcome. It was beneath the radio standards of what they played. For me, that change in hippop sound very much is reflected in what the dominant sound of hippop is to day. But o los angeles had its own take on hippop, which was vary, sort of electronic and also funk driven,. like p funk, cause that was the style out there.
