Is Bias a Complementary Thing to Measurement?
Danny Armstrong: Bias and noise have equivalent weight as determinants of error. He says bias is easier to see because we can point the finger at a reason. Noise makes it much more abstract; you can only see it by looking statistically, he says. The justice system is noisy because it's got judges who are different from one another.
