The Armenian Genecide and the Ottoman Empire
The armenian jane side stands as the single greatest instance of civilian suffering during the first world war. Its an unresolved issue between armenians in the world who feel that the turkish state has never acknowledged its responsibility for genecide. The context of the war, i think is absolutely essential. There had been massacres of a herendous scale in the 18 nineties in eastern anatolia and in 19 o nine in the city of adina. And that violence needs to be explained, but i don't think a geneside one was necessary. I think that the co operation of armenian nationalist movements with the young turk movement and in the ottoman parliament demonstrates
