The Anti Gravity Gun, Reverse Engineer?

If you found an anti gravity gun and didn't know what it was, how would you use it? You don't like to start to take it apart. There's effectuively no limit on what it could potentially be. Soi'm assuming that the aliens label all of ter weapons or tools - in which case i hope they also label the insides of it. I think that's moreis question like, if you knew what it does, and specifically this idea of anti gravity,How would you know how it works?
