Russia has been actively looking to reduce their reliance on the dollar. They have been buying a lot of gold, remember that old thing? And as an energy rich nation, bitcoin is an interesting intersection of all those interests. The White house is looking to release an executive order on the crypto industry. We don't know what's in it yet, but we know that something is coming.
