Karat was in a virtual relationship with Bobby for 10 years. He would monitor her movements and dictate her choices, telling her who she can and cannot hang out with. After three years of going back and forth of nearly coming to London, then making up an excuse for why he couldn't, Karat started to get suspicious about him. She hired someone to find Bobby's most recent address; when she got it, she was heartbroken to learn that he had been living relatively close to her. The police told her that the only victim in this circumstance was the real Bobby, whose identity was stolen.
