The Importance of NATO in the Defense of Ukraine
NATO communique said that NATO will join but also has to meet certain conditions and it didn't specify what those conditions are. I think on the military side, bringing Ukraine into NATO today would make it the second largest and most capable military within NATO only after the United States. So I don't think that's a condition. It's a holding pattern because there is no agreement within NATO. If you don't have an agreement then it isn't going to happen.
