The Importance of Regulation in AI

Gireon: Some of the nightmares that I've heard even some of the technologists sketch out is that an example, you receive a phone call, you think it's your wife but actually it's an AI generated sort of facsimile of your wife. How would a regulator stop that? Gireon: It is a very big challenge for the regulators and ultimately the AI needs to be deployed also to fight the misuse of AI. So we also need to make sure that we develop AI to detect fraud and to be able to mitigate some of the downsides.
