Under jeff sessions, and more so under william barr, the justice department has simultaneously served as trump's private law firm. The state uses its extra judicial nature to say, look, we're not the extremists. Trump's administration has taken a chain saw to the very concept of rule of law. When you talk about a shutting down, the media putting out their alternative facts, banning descent and opposition,. criticising people who are exercising their first amendment rights. That, to me, is very scary, is very dangerous. I'm very terrified that we are beginning to see an erosion of our democratic values and an erosion of the public sector.
