The world and events within them have no meaning other than that which we give them. When life gives you lemons make lemonade or for those disinclined to imbibe sugary beverages make avgalomeno soup. The problem with greeting card sentiments is that they ignore and lead others to ignore systemic problems the recognition of which might disrupt the everyday business of shoveling power to the powerful and pumping wealth to the wealthy.
