Is There a Need for Opposition Polls?

It is interesting, this argument that we need opinion polls because we need to know what people think. Maybe those politicians shouldn't be constantly consulting focus groups and surveyor san opinion post as they should be using their own judgment. So i'm very much viewing this, after taking in all this history, that the poles are just one input into this formula, and you have all sorts of other inputs. But without it, without the poles, you are lacking something really profound,. which is a firm voice for the people between elections, or on subjects the elections.
