Writing a Narrative Theme
A short story by Neil Gaiman called mouse is a great example of how a narrative theme can come together. The author does not make any discreet connection between the two for us they're just happening but you get it at the end. Theme should be an area to explore not something to impose and so you might have ingredients going in that will be seeds for your theme, he says.
