Is Your Body Using Fat?

Your body might not be using much fat at all. Instead you may be relying on your other big store of energy, carbohydrates. Fat is a bit more like coal. It takes longer to catch, but it's more energy dense so you get more out of it. If you were running a marathon, for example, where you're very much used up your glycogen stores, you've hit the wall. You're going to be using your fat stores because that's what's left or that's whats available.
