A pie that has a potato topping is still a pie to me. I like the idea that a pie is something that can be a meal in itself. But I do draw the line of whoopi pie in America, which is actually just a type of cookie sandwiched together with icing. People do use pie a bit too much, I think. Pizza pie is just a misuse of the English language.
