John wall and I'm CJ Tolodano and we're starting a new podcast presented by draft Kings called point game. We're now joined by three time NBA six man of the year. Elite bucket getter. Let's please welcome Jamal Crawford to point game king of the court one on one tournament. If they had it back in your prime, do you think you could have ticked it all? I would be honest with you. I don't think I could have took it all, but
Speaker 6
I think I would have shocked a lot of people. I think Kobe and everybody in their front Kobe would have won. I would say yeah, yeah, because you got to think he's going guard. He don't care about guarding. He's gonna go on guard like you see him in the living. She's going guard and then on top of it.
Speaker 3
gentlemen, please welcome Sam Cassado point game. I remember you came out from
Speaker 8
front. I mean, he's in
Speaker 9
a culture socket. He's going to withdraw us about winning. You
Speaker 6
know what I told you? I said, I said, Oh, do you think I can get paid and go back and play in cars? You did that unit. Check out point game

Blurs it out in the flat caught Kelsey 45 across midfield hurdles and offender. Oh, you can get high for this one. George Kettle took it away. Go underneath and this is caught by the Joker carries an offender on his back. This Jackson points frozen down to Andrew's got three. Remark couldn't get it to him. But he caught it anyway. More than catch by Andrew. For two seconds back on the clock. Here he is. A rookie LaPorda. Yes,
Speaker 2
it was a big year in 2023 for the tight end.
Speaker 10
And now we're going to talk
Speaker 2
about it. Both the current class and a little ATN history lesson going back in the last 13 years or so and to help us along on that ride is a man who knows his ball. He is a host on the Audibles and analytics pod. You could find him all over the place. In fact, John led your welcome to around the NFL.
Speaker 3
Hey guys, it's an honor to be with you guys. I'm excited to talk some tight ends with you all.
Speaker 2
How did it feel when Greg Rosenthal, the man who once built road a world brick by brick with his bare hands, his calloused hands, connected with you randomly and said, you want to talk about tight ends
Speaker 3
and well, I didn't have it on my bingo card, but I was greatly honored. What do I Greg and I fought each other for a while. And so it was exciting when he jumped in. It was like, Hey, would you like to jump on this pond? I was like, you guys have probably more fun than anybody else in the NFL space. I'm like on a podcast. You're definitely in the top five of the fun rankings. And so I was like, man, opportunity to talk ball with those guys is a dream come true. So I'm excited. I like it.
Speaker 1
And you mentioned, yeah, rankings. So that's it's the off season. I like a little rankings. We're going to do we're going to do take a little snapshot. We might revisit this various times in the off season. It's fun to kind of take a snapshot of a position, talk about where they're at now. And then also, yeah, we're going to look back and try to decide who are the best tight ends of the since 2010. And I'm thinking, who knows ball? And I've been listening to the the Audibles and analytics podcast. I'm a relatively recent convert during draft season, a little late later in the playoff season. And you and Ollie Connolly, I should say, do a great job. So everyone should check out John's substack. All right.
Speaker 2
And with that. I
Speaker 1
also felt bad because I gave him a lot of like, homework, kind of is like a little last minute. We're a little last minute. I try not to give what you don't want to give homework. But he seemed like of all the people and this is meant as a compliment that wouldn't feel like maybe it was a huge burden last minute to all of a sudden conjure up multiple sets of rankings. I thought John would be a good honest, John. It's not how you feel about it. He would be a bracing.
Speaker 2
He would be a bracing. He read it extremely well. I may or may not do this in my spare time. So I may or may not have been prepared. But you know, while John is perhaps an exception, I just want everyone to know out there that has a podcast, which is most of America and beyond. When you have someone on as a guest, don't try not to give them a homework assignment depends
Speaker 1
depends. Depends. Just kind of say, if you don't like a week's notice, at least
Speaker 4
not 24 hours, I mean,
Speaker 2
just take it easy. Okay. They're coming on your show. That should be enough. Let's get into it. John, you came up with a list. Let's start with the modern day. The current the 2023 into now 2024 tight end class. We each submitted to our production team our top 10. And then I believe Funk and ETP did their wizardry and took those three options or those three lists and made it into one.
Speaker 1
Mondo list. Right. So we do not know the results of these rankings. Let's put them up. We do not see them. Yeah, I see I see them back in the control room. We
Speaker 8
need to see them. All right. Fly them up. All
Speaker 2
right. So this is what this is what the interesting. All right. So here we go. I'll go 10 to one here. Dalton, Kincaid, not a my top 10 came in at number 10. Evan Ingram of the Jaguars. Number nine Dallas Goddard, number eight. David and Jocoo, my guy. Number seven TJ Hockinson. Number six, Trey McBride of the cards. Number five. This is what I'm talking about. Let's all these young guys new on the scene. Number four, Sam LaPorta of the lions. Number three, Mark Andrews of the Ravens. Number two, George Kittle of the Niners. And of course, number one Travis Kelsey of the Chiefs. All right. Let's start. John, do you have when we look at our combined list here, do you have a name that kind of does not jibe overall that you've had somebody higher or lower? Let's start that way.
